Datafeeds
To power Trendsignal, obviously you need market data. Such data comes from a variety of vendors, and some is free with your subscription to Ensign Windows.
End of Day Data
All End of Day data is provided for free. You will have access to Daily, Weekly and Monthly data for all manner of markets including shares, indices, forex, commodities and bonds. In fact, the data covers around 40,000 markets and is gathered from DTNIQ and Yahoo Finance. Therefore, if the product you want is available on these two websites, it is available to chart using Trendsignal.
Realtime Data
Intra-day or realtime data is available on any market you want. Realtime Forex data is now provided for free, which is great news for both End of Day and Realtime Trendsignal users. Each data feed “plugs” into Trendsignal seamlessly and is all explained in the manual.
If however you require realtime data for other markets and exchanges, you will require the data feed. Such data is available from the below vendors. Please note, this list is subject to change:
TraderBytes
TraderBytes offers low costs data on Global cash indices and US Futures exchanges. It is an excellent value data feed if you are looking to trade US focused shares, index, bond and commodity markets. This datafeed is not suitable if you want realtime data for Non-US markets.
IQ Feed
IQ Feed offers data on a variety of global exchanges. It is an excellent data feed if you are looking to trade global index, bond and commodity markets and US shares. This datafeed is not suitable if you want realtime data for non-US shares or more exotic markets.
eSignal
eSignal is an excellent data provider which offers realtime data on most markets and exchanges. It is by far the most comprehensive compatible data feed available and should cater for all your charting needs, not matter how varied they are.
Remember, realtime FX and End of day data for all markets is available for free.
